We are moving on

I would like to take a moment and thank you for following my blog. Life has been very busy and I have decided to delete the blog. It's easier for me to update my Facebook page and I have started using Instagram. Do me a favor and follow me
Hope to see you on the road!

Rocket Chopper

Our new Century Rocket Digger frame can be special ordered to fit any style. This customer wanted us to build his frame to fit his 18 over Gurfee girder.

Durfee Girders

I’m building a frame for a customer and he already has a 18” over Durfee Girder. Eric at Toxic Choppers is doing the bike build. Eric is in Colorado and I am in Texas and Paul Durfee is in Cali. Eric and I worked out some numbers and had it figured out but I didn’t feel comfortable not knowing how much sag their would be. I had spoken with Paul before on other customer projects before and knew he was a pretty cool dude. So, I called him and expressed my concerns. He asked me a few questions and said he would get back to me in a couple of days. Well a couple of hours later he emailed these CAD drawings. Well, shit if that’s not customer service I don’t know what is. I didn’t even buy anything from him. This is totally awesome. Eric did a great job at getting us in the ball park but, Paul hit a home run. Now I can build the frame in confidence knowing the final outcome.

So Lucas. Take your pick.
The moral of the story is Paul Durfee is the man.

Frame Restoration

This was the main purpose of my trip to Milwaukee. I helped Ben and the PCI Group (Cook Customs) build their own frame jig. They flew me out for the week to help finalize the jig and give Ben some pointers on how to utilize the jig. It’s not like they don’t know how to use it but, there are key reference points and assembly procedures that are unique to every jig.

Ben started out by media blasting the old cast frame parts.

We have stepped up and offered a few of his Tex-Star Points covers for the goodie box. We have also thrown in a few of our shop shirts for the Just Kickers guys to hand out.  Should be a great event. Check it out and go.

Colleen Swartz

IMG_0150

Colleen is a sweet hart. On one of the nights I was in town she cooked dinner for all the guys.  Her meat ball sandwich was awesome. The other cool thing she did was. She was responsible for the “back stage” tour at the Harley museum. It’s funny she was not in any of the pics I had from my trip. I guess that’s the down side to being a photographer, your never in any of the pictures. Unfortunately this was the only time I got to spend with her. She’s an awesome chic and lots of fun to be around. Thanks Colleen.
